East Gate Lodge
East Gate Lodge is a warm, welcoming children’s home designed to provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for young people.
The home accommodates up to three children or young people aged between 8 and 18, offering personalised care tailored to each individual’s needs.
Inside the home, young people benefit from comfortable and well-equipped spaces, including a cosy lounge for relaxing, a games room with activities such as board games and an Xbox, and a spacious kitchen where everyone can come together. Each young person has their own private bedroom, complete with essential furnishings such as a bed, wardrobe, drawers, and a desk. Bedrooms can be personalised and decorated, helping each child feel at home and comfortable in their own space.
East Gate Lodge is located in Heysham, close to the seaside town of Morecambe. The home is ideally situated near the promenade and beach, as well as the town centre, which offers a wide range of amenities, including shops, a cinema, bowling, parks, and restaurants. This provides plenty of opportunities for young people to enjoy activities, build independence, and feel part of the local community.
At East Gate Lodge, the focus is on creating a stable and positive environment where young people can feel safe, build relationships, and grow in confidence. The home offers the space and support needed for children to reflect on their experiences, enjoy new opportunities, and look ahead to a brighter future.
Children say they are happy, safe and well cared for. For example, one child who recently moved into the home settled quickly because of the welcoming atmosphere.

Our Homes
Bay View Childcare currently has five homes located across Lancashire, and are ideally located in rural areas which are close to large towns in order to provide both the seclusion and safety of a countryside location and the amenities of larger towns.
