Our Homes
Bay View Childcare was established in 2010 and has over a decade of experience providing dedicated residential care for children and young people.
We are a privately-owned provider currently with five homes set in beautiful rural locations in North Lancaster, specifically chosen to offer a peaceful environment away from the pressures of busy communities. This secluded setting provides a safe space for young people to reflect and grow, while remaining well-connected to local amenities and the wider community.
Our primary focus is to ensure every young person feels safe, secure, and nurtured from the moment they arrive. We provide a structured and stimulating environment where individuality is celebrated and young people are empowered to reach their full potential.
Yealand
Yealand is a four bedroom home registered to accommodate and care for up to four young people of either gender aged between 8 and 13 years who experience emotional and behavioural difficulties. The home is based in Heysham, close to the seaside town of Morecambe.
Glenfield
Glenfield is a six bedroom home registered to accommodate and care for up to six young people of either gender aged between 8 and 18 years. Glenfield typically accommodates children who are on a rehabilitation plan back to family, foster carers or a connected carer. The home is based in Heysham, on the outskirts of seaside town Morecambe.
Thortindale
Thortindale Cottage is registered to accommodate and care for up to four young people of either sex aged between 8 and 18 years who experience emotional and behavioural difficulties, and have mild learning disabilities.
East Gate Lodge
East Gate Lodge is registered to accommodate and care for up to three young people of either gender aged between 8 and 18 years who experience emotional and behavioural difficulties. The home is based in Heysham, which is very close to seaside town of Morecambe.
Berwick
Berwick is a new three bedroom children’s home located on the outskirts of Morecambe and close to Lancaster City. The home is registered to accommodate and care for young people of either gender aged between 8 and 18 years who experience emotional and behavioural difficulties.
