Berwick House is a welcoming and nurturing children’s home, thoughtfully designed to provide a safe, comfortable, and homely environment for young people.
The home offers accommodation for up to three children or young people aged between 8 and 18, creating a small, family-style setting where each individual can receive personalised care and attention.
The home itself is beautifully presented and carefully maintained, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere where young people can feel settled and proud of where they live. With a strong emphasis on relationships, Berwick House promotes a sense of belonging, encouraging young people to feel part of a supportive household. Shared living spaces offer opportunities to spend time together, whether relaxing, cooking, or taking part in activities as a group.
Each young person benefits from their own private bedroom, providing a personal space where they can feel safe and comfortable. The home encourages children to take pride in their surroundings and develop independence through everyday routines such as cooking, baking, and contributing to daily life within the home.
Located in the village of Heysham, close to Morecambe and within easy reach of Lancaster, Berwick House benefits from a fantastic local environment. The home is ideally positioned for outdoor activities, with access to beaches, countryside, and the nearby Lake District. Young people are encouraged to enjoy the local area and take part in a wide range of activities, from outdoor adventures such as walking and bushcraft to leisure activities including swimming, cinema trips, and community clubs.

With a dedicated and caring staff team, a strong emphasis on relationships, and opportunities to experience everyday life and new opportunities, the home supports children to build confidence, develop independence, and enjoy a positive and fulfilling childhood.

Our Homes
Bay View Childcare currently has five homes located across Lancashire, and are ideally located in rural areas which are close to large towns in order to provide both the seclusion and safety of a countryside location and the amenities of larger towns.

At Bay View Childcare, we provide specialist residential care for young people aged 6–18 who are experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties.
