Glenfield
Glenfield House is a warm and nurturing children’s home that provides high-quality care in a supportive, family-style environment.
The home is registered to accommodate up to six children and young people, with current placements typically ranging from ages 8 to 15. This allows for a balanced and structured setting where young people can feel both supported and encouraged to grow in independence.
The home prides itself on offering a comfortable and homely environment where young people can build strong, positive relationships with both staff and peers. With a highly experienced and therapeutically trained staff team, Glenfield House creates a space where children feel safe, valued, and understood. High levels of staffing ensure that each young person receives individual attention, while the overall atmosphere remains warm, consistent, and supportive.
Young people at Glenfield House benefit from a range of living spaces that support both social interaction and personal time. The home is designed to reflect a family setting, where children can relax, enjoy shared activities, and feel part of a community. In addition, the home includes an independent annex, offering a valuable step towards independence for older young people preparing for adulthood and further education.
Located between Lancaster and Carnforth, Glenfield House offers access to a wide range of local opportunities and amenities. Young people are encouraged to take part in community life and enjoy activities such as sports, clubs, outdoor pursuits, and social events. These opportunities help to build confidence, develop new skills, and support positive experiences outside of the home.

Through strong relationships, a therapeutic approach, and a commitment to individualised care, the home supports children to develop confidence, build resilience, and achieve positive outcomes for their future.

Bay View Childcare currently has five homes located across Lancashire, and are ideally located in rural areas which are close to large towns in order to provide both the seclusion and safety of a countryside location and the amenities of larger towns.
