Yealand

Yealand provides a safe, secure, and happy place where young people can have the time, space, and support from a dedicated staff team to deal with past experiences while focusing on the positive things they want for their future.

The home provides tailored residential care and support for young people across a range of ages, specifically accommodating children from age 8 up to age 16 and older, with a structured routine ensuring all residents receive an education until they are 18.

The layout of the home is designed for both privacy and communal living, featuring personal bedrooms and a shared dining area where everyone is encouraged to sit together during mealtimes to promote a supportive family atmosphere. Every young person living here enjoys the comfort of their own private bedroom, which is comfortably furnished with a single or double bed, a wardrobe, drawers, and a desk if requested. To ensure complete comfort and personal space, each bedroom includes its own private ensuite bathroom equipped with a shower, and residents are actively encouraged to decorate, personalise, and accessorise their room with the help of their key worker to make it feel like their own.

Located in Heysham, Lancaster, our home is positioned approximately 2 miles from Heysham village. The local area boasts an excellent array of amenities and recreational options, being situated very close to the local promenade and beach. Additionally, not too far away is the bustling city centre of Lancaster which provides access to theatres, shops, pubs, a snooker hall, and historic landmarks like Lancaster Castle, Williamson Park, and the Ashton Memorial, offering beautiful outdoor spaces and stunning views for young people to explore.

Both Lancaster and Heysham offer straightforward access to public transport links, making it easy to travel to surrounding areas.
