It’s been a busy few months across our Bay View homes – packed full of activities, milestones and memory making with children and young people!
There have been lots of achievements to celebrate amongst our young residents, including K who has successfully started employment! Feedback from his interview and first day at his new job described him as “confident, chatty and willing to learn.”
Staff have been incredibly supportive in helping K to complete a CV, apply and encourage and prepare him for interview.
Young person O started his transition to secondary school which he approached with an amazing attitude, and is fitting in really well already!
We are really proud of one of our young residents who has successfully passed his police cadets interview. This has been a wish of his since moving to Bay View in 2022 and we are so pleased that his dream is becoming a reality.
Lots of our young people have been working extremely hard revising and sitting their exams! We are confident that everyone will have tried their hardest and will achieve some fantastic results.
Milestones from across our young community include CJ going to his first prom where he had the opportunity to get suited and booted and have a wonderful evening with his school friends. He was even asked to show off his musical talents and play piano during the event.
Another young person went on his first ever school residential! Despite his nerves, he managed to stay calm and got stuck in with the adventurous activities!
Congratulations to B, who successfully interviewed and auditioned for his Level 2 Music Performance and Production at college – the sky is the limit.
Finally, three young people had the chance of a lifetime to go to Soccer Aid! Their faces were priceless, surrounded by some of the biggest names in showbiz. The atmosphere was electric and will be an event to remember and cherish for years to come.
We are delighted that young people across Bay View are achieving amazing things, and we are thankful to all of the staff who work tirelessly to offer support, guidance and advice, truly making a difference!
